"I discovered the music of Che-Val, which consists of Connecticut husband and wife duo Kenny and Laura Cash, a few months ago when they opened for a Full Blast Movement event. It was the first time I'd heard "Jolene" performed at what was, otherwise, a hip-hop show. That sort of thing sticks with you, and since then we've kept in touch.

Recently, Laura let me know that back in November of last year she and Kenny partnered up with Team Hope to raise awareness, and funds, for those suffering from Parkinson's Disease. Che-Val's fundraising contribution is their song "Don't Give Up On Me," with all of the proceeds from sales and streams going to the National Parkinson Foundation. The cause hits close to home for Kenny, whose mother, and grandfather, have been afflicted with Parkinson's Disease.
